Fairfield Parole and Probation Compared
The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, commonly called PPP or SCDPPPS, supervises several distinct groups. A positive result must be read by category. Parole supports the conclusion that a person left imprisonment under Board conditions. Probation alone does not establish a prior prison release because a court can impose it directly.
| Supervision | How it begins | What the record supports |
|---|---|---|
| Parole | Release from imprisonment under a Board order | The person is in the community under conditions for the remaining term. |
| Probation | A court sentence, sometimes after custody and sometimes without it | Active court-ordered supervision, not necessarily a prison release. |
| Community supervision | A statutory period tied to the sentence | A distinct supervision category that must be read with the court case. |
| Supervised reentry | A structured transition category shown by PPP | Current supervision, subject to the individual record. |
County of supervision can differ from county of conviction or residence. Confirm the responsible office instead of assuming Fairfield controls the case merely because the prosecution began there.
Verify Fairfield Post-Release Supervision
The PPP offender search supports several combinations: first and last name, SID alone, first name plus birth year, last name plus birth year, Fairfield County plus SID, or Fairfield County plus first or last name. Use the strongest permitted combination and open the person-level result when several names appear.
- Choose Fairfield as county when that is the known supervision county.
- Enter a SID if available, or use one of the supported name and birth-year combinations.
- Compare identity details before opening a result.
- Read the listed supervision category rather than treating every result as parole.
- Record the source warning that online information represents the previous day.
- Call the Fairfield PPP office to confirm same-day status and the responsible office.
A no-match does not erase old supervision or disprove release. The person may have discharged, the data may not have updated, the identity inputs may differ, or PPP may never have supervised that case. Use SCDC release records and the Fairfield court docket for historical proof.
The official search page visibly carries the update limitation and available search routes.

The screenshot helps identify the right state tool. Same-day surrender, revocation, transfer, or discharge still belongs with the supervising office.
Contact Fairfield County PPP
The local office is the best source when the online record's prior-day snapshot is too old for the question. Ask whether the displayed supervision remains active, which category applies, and which county office is responsible. Staff may limit personal information, so use precise identity details and a narrow question.

The official office page publishes a dated caseload snapshot. On July 22, 2026, it listed 131 probation cases, 14 parole cases, 12 community-supervision cases, 7 supervised-reentry cases, 10 Jessie’s Law tracking cases, and no supervised-furlough cases. These figures describe supervision caseloads on that date. They are not release totals, daily counts, or a measure of how many Fairfield residents left custody.
Fairfield Conditions and Violations
Supervision conditions arise from the court, Board order, and governing law. The individual record controls. A violation allegation may lead to agency action, modification, or revocation proceedings, but an allegation should not be rewritten as a final finding. Revocation means supervision can be withdrawn after the required process, potentially returning the person to custody.
VINELink can provide custody-change alerts for a named person through participating systems. It is not a complete supervision-history source. PPP's record and local office answer the active-supervision question. A court docket or Board record supplies legal context. If an alert shows a transfer, confirm the receiving custodian rather than assuming community release.
How Fairfield Supervision Ends
Discharge is the formal end of supervision. It is different from release from jail or prison, and it may occur well after the custody exit. PPP warns that people no longer supervised may not appear in the public search. A missing current result therefore cannot prove when discharge occurred.
Ask PPP for current confirmation or the appropriate supervision record. Pair it with the court disposition and SCDC release record when a complete sequence is needed. South Carolina FOIA permits requests for public records subject to exemptions, redaction, and other law. An agency need not create a record it does not possess. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, victim, security, and other protected matter may remain unavailable.
The Fairfield County release records guide explains how jail exit, state release, court disposition, and community supervision fit together. Preserve each date and label separately.
Fairfield Absconder Search Limits
PPP maintains a curated statewide Most Wanted page. It can show selected at-large people, identifiers, county, and original offense. It is not a complete Fairfield warrant or absconder index. Absence from the page has no negative evidentiary value and should not be described as proof that no violation or warrant exists.
Use the PPP Most Wanted page only for its narrow published purpose.

The page is selective. Verify through the Fairfield office or the proper authority. If a positive match appears, do not approach the person. Call the PPP hotline at 1-888-761-6175, and call 911 for immediate danger.
Fairfield Supervision Uses Prior-Day Data
The combination of a dated local caseload and a prior-day statewide search is a distinctive Fairfield access pattern. The online tool is useful for identity and category, while the office at 100 Faith Lane provides the current local layer. That distinction matters when status may have changed today.
Record the date of every check. A person shown yesterday may have discharged, surrendered, transferred, or faced revocation action today. A person missing today may have completed supervision long ago. Neither outcome can be safely reconstructed from a single screen.
The local office's published breakdown also prevents categories from being blurred together. Probation, parole, community supervision, supervised reentry, Jessie’s Law tracking, and supervised furlough are reported separately. Quote only the category shown for the person and confirm its present status.
Check Fairfield Parole Hearings
The South Carolina Board of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services has seven members, one for each congressional district. Its official page links an annual hearing calendar. The 2026 calendar was revised July 8, 2026, so begin at the Parole Board page instead of relying on a saved PDF.

The Board page is the route to the latest calendar. A calendar proves planned meeting dates, not that a named person was heard, granted parole, or physically released.
Hearings are public and audio recorded. The incarcerated person participates by video from SCDC. Registered victims may receive advance notice and use participation methods described by PPP, including in-person, remote, telephone, written, recorded, or online options. Follow the current agency instructions for the specific proceeding.
Verify Fairfield Parole Decisions
Eligibility, a scheduled hearing, the decision, acceptance of an order, physical release, and later supervision are separate milestones. Official material supports granted and denied outcomes, along with Board authority over revocation, modification, and rehearing. Do not invent other standard result labels.
No comprehensive public person-level decisions search was located. The meeting-minutes archive documents Board proceedings, but it should not be promised as a full offender-by-offender result database. Use the offender record, PPP confirmation, or authorized Victim Services notice for a named person.
South Carolina Code §24-21-650 connects an accepted parole order with release. Section 24-21-660 generally continues Board jurisdiction for the remaining original term. Thus, a person can be outside prison and still supervised. Violent-crime cases require at least two-thirds Board authorization under §24-21-645. If parole is denied, obtain the agency's case-specific rehearing timing instead of calculating it independently.
